How to Ride Across The George Washington Bridge in New Jersey
The George Washington Bridge is one of the most famous landmarks in the Northeast. It is regularly featured in movies and you can find its image on postcards, on coffee mugs and in books. It connects New Jersey to New York and beyond. You can take the GWB into the city or take it as your gateway toward New England. Pedestrians and cyclists can cross the GWB into New York between 6 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. on the south sidewalk of the bridge. The entrance is on Hudson Terrace in Fort Lee.

Locate the intersection of Lemoine Avenue and Bruce Reynolds Boulevard (Bridge Plaza South) in Fort Lee, N.J. You can reach Hudson Terrace by riding east on Bruce Reynolds Boulevard toward the bridge. At the end of this road is a T intersection -- Hudson Terrace is the cross street.

Cross Hudson Terrace at the intersection, make a left and ride north.

Ride approximately two blocks. The entrance ramp to the south sidewalk of the GWB will be on your right before the overpass that leads to the bridge. The north sidewalk's entrance is on the other side of the overpass.
