Casey Jones State Trail

This state trail has three segments--the first part spans 13 miles, the second is one and a half miles and the third portion is six miles long. The longest segment used to be railroad grade and is located between Pipestone city and the Pipestone and Murray county line. The second trail runs west from Lake Wilson City, while the third segment is a paved loop running between Lake Shetek State Park and Currie. Along the way, you will pass through remnants of tallgrass prairie, Lake Shetek, sloughs and wooded ravines. Aside from snowmobiles, the trail is also used by snowshoe hikers and in-line skaters.
Blue Mounds State Park

Blue Mounds State Park encompasses 1,826 acres and is located at St. Luverne in Rock County. The parks maintains three miles of snowmobiling trails during the winter months that feature snow-covered tallgrass prairie and meadowland. Other trails are also open for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Amenities include year-round campgrounds, restroom facilities and drinking water at the park contact station. Snowmobile riders can warm up at the park's trail shelter, which is equipped with a wood stove.
Lake Shetek State Park

Visit Currie and experience five miles of groomed snowmobiling trails at the 1,108-acre Lake Shetek State Park in southwestern Minnesota. Riders can enjoy views of Lake Shetek, the largest lake in the southwest region of the state. The snowy terrain features wetlands, prairie lands and thick forests of elm, oak, ash, hackberry and basswood. The park is home to a variety of wildlife; animals you may encounter include white-tailed deer, white pelican, coyote and herons. Make a stop at the enclosed picnic shelter, or take a break from the cold at the warming house.
Luce Line State Trail

Spanning 63 miles long, this trail is maintained by the state for snowmobiling and skiing. Ride this path and meander across a varied scenery of urban and rural communities including a strip of countryside, woodlands and prairie plants. Expect snow-covered forests of sugar basswood and maple. You may also encounter some wildlife along the way. Deer, pheasant, mink, owls and fox are just some of the wildlife inhabitants in the area. Parking is available at Plymouth on 10th Avenue and Vicksburg Lane or at Long Lake on Stubbs Bay Road.
