How to Prop Up Stadium Seats

There are many ballparks and stadiums throughout the country which do not have full stadium seating inclusive of a chair and chair back. Instead those locations usually have some form of metal or wooden bleachers. Sitting on those bleachers can provide a challenge for the fans watching the game. Often the bleachers are cold, wet, or dirty. To counterbalance this problem, many people purchase a "stadium seat" or stadium cushion to sit on. However, if you are looking for support for your back, you can prop up another cushion so that you may lean comfortably against the back of the next row of bleachers.

Instructions

    • 1

Select the location where you want to sit. Place the first seat cushion down on the bleacher.

    • 2

Wipe away any debris from the ledge of the bleacher directly behind where you placed the seat cushion. If it has been raining or snowing, wipe the ledge with paper towels to dry it.

    • 3

Affix either double-stick tape or removable velcro to the edge of the bleacher.

    • 4

Place the other side of the removable velcro strip on the back of the second seat cushion. If you are using double stick tape, skip this step.

    • 5

Secure the second stadium seat cushion to the ledge of the bleachers so that it is perpendicular to the seat cushion you will be sitting on. Starting from one side of the seat cushion press your hand all the way across so that the tape or velcro forms a strong bond. You may now sit and lean against the propped stadium seat cushion without it falling out of place.
