The Honda TRX450FM Won't Start

The Honda TRX450FM is an ATV designed for adventure riding through back roads or wilderness. If you are having problems getting your TRX450FM to start, you can use the roll start method. This is a popular method and gets the motor running in second gear. This method is also used on manual cars. You don't have to be an ATV expert to get your TRX450FM started. You can do it with minimal hassle.

      Get the ATV onto a slight hill. You don't want too much speed going down the hill because you want to be able to control the ATV.

      Put the ATV into the "On" position via the ignition.

      Roll the ATV down the hill and push the clutch in.

      Put the ATV into second gear via the gearshift and then release your clutch.

      Wait for the engine to pop on.
