Instructions

    • 1

Use the block shot when you are in the forward half of your court.

    • 2

Hold your racquet up in your ready position, about head high.

    • 3

Keep the racquet face open and square to the net.

    • 4

Watch the shuttle carefully, as your opponent returns a shot.

    • 5

Move your racquet head quickly into the path of the shuttle.

    • 6

Block the shuttle without swinging the racquet at all. If you are very close to the net, or your opponent's return is high enough, block the shuttle with a closed racquet face to drive it down into your opponent's court.

Recover quickly to your ready position.
