How to Install Wellgo Strapless Toeclips

Strapless toe clips, like the type made by Wellgo, are perfect for the commuter cyclist. Because the clips do not have straps, you don't have to adjust them each time you get on and off your bike, but you are still able to both push down and pull up on the pedals with your feet. Strapless toe clips should only take a few minutes to install and Wellgo clips come with all the necessary hardware.

      Find the reflector on the end of your right pedal. Use a flathead screwdriver or a small, dull knife to pry off the reflector. Once you have removed the reflector, you will be able to see a few holes that are drilled in your pedals for mounting toe clips.

      Line up the holes on the right toe clip with one of the two metal mounting plates that came with the Wellgo strapless toe clips.

      Pick up the toe clip and mounting plate and hold it up to the pedal. Match up the holes and then slide the two screws that come with the Wellgo toe clips through the holes in the toe clips and into the holes in the pedal.

      Loosely slide the two nuts that came with the toe clips onto the ends of the two screws. Tighten the nuts with a wrench until they are too tight to remove by hand.

      Repeat Steps 1 through 4 on the left pedal. Test-ride your bike to see if any adjustments need to be made.
