How to Wrap Hands for Boxing
Instructions
-
-
1
Unroll the hand wrap and place the loop of the wrap around your thumb. Make sure the tag near the loop is facing out, away from your thumb.
-
2
Wrap over the back of your hand and down across your wrist. Wrap your wrist two to three times to give your wrist support and to help absorb the shock from the impact of your punches.
-
3
Bring the wrap up diagonally from your wrist across the back of your hand just under your pinky and then across the palm of your hand.
-
4
Bring the wrap around your palm and wrap across the knuckles on the back of your hand. Wrap your knuckles three times to help avoid cutting the skin and busting the knuckles.
-
5
Bring the wrap across your knuckles again, but this time go between your pinky and ring finger. Guide the wrap down the palm of your hand and bring it back up on the back of your hand.
-
6
Wrap in between each of your fingers like you did with your pinky and ring finger.
-
7
Wrap your wrist one more time and then bring the wrap up around your thumb. Wrap the excess around your wrist and secure the wrap with the Velcro strap.
