Do some research. The US Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association includes member schools that range from community colleges to Ivy League schools. They offer an online handbook for high school students that lists all the schools that have college ski teams. Target some schools that have teams you like and that will allow you to fulfill your academic goals.

Contact the coaches at the schools you are interested in. If you are a high school sophomore or junior, ask about camps you might attend. Many colleges offer camps that are run by the ski team's head coach.

Visit the US Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association website for additional information. Their handbook provides a lot of information for students who are interested in college ski teams and scholarships.

Maintain a record of your accomplishments. You will want to have newspaper clippings, awards and video in one place when you are contacted by college coaches. It is much easier to provide this information if you already have it in one place.
