King Cobra Driver Specifications

Cobra Golf is a golf equipment company that started in the 1970s and releases new clubs annually. In 2011, Cobra offers four different types of drivers. The S3 Max is made to correct your mistakes by adjusting for slice and giving you a 30 percent bigger area to hit the ball. The S3 and ZL models are made to help you drive the ball longer if you are already an experienced player.
  1. S3

    • The S3 head is made of titanium, while the shaft is graphite. The shaft is available with either 5.5 degrees or 5.6 degrees of torque. You can choose between 8.5 degree, 9.5 degree, 10.5 degree and 11.5 degree lofts. The 9.5 degree and 10.5 degree versions are made for left and right-handed golfers. The S3 driver is 45.5 inches long and comes with a ribbed Golf Pride grip.

    S3 Max

    • The S3 Max is made from the same materials as the S3 and has the same available shaft torque. The S3 Max is available with 9.5 degree, 10.5 degree and 11.5 degree lofts and is designed for less-skilled players than the regular S3. The head is offset to correct swing problems and indicators are placed on the head so you can line up the ball better.

    ZL

    • The ZL comes in 8.5 degree, 9.5 degree, 10.5 degree and 11.5 degree loft models. The 9.5 degree and 10.5 degree models are also available for left-handed players and all models are 46 inches long. The Aldila Voodoo shaft is made from carbon fiber to help with creating low spin and transferring energy from your hips. Like the S3 models, the ZL has a ribbed Golf Pride grip.

    Limited Edition ZL

    • The body and face are made from titanium, while the crown and sole are made from carbon composite. The ZL comes in 9.5 degree and 10.5 degree loft models and is made to allow you to hit the ball straighter. A weight screw is present to assist in controlling your aim more effectively. The composite shaft is 46 inches long and designed for a smooth feel. The ZL has a Golf Pride Tour Wrap 2G grip.
