How to Turn Soft Mesh Into Hard Mesh
Most lacrosse sticks have pockets made of mesh. Although mesh is durable, if it's too soft it wears and shrinks with use. A harder mesh produces harder shots, but if it's too hard, it's difficult to cradle the ball. Therefore, when you're hardening your pocket mesh, do it gradually until you've reached your desired feel.

1
Fill a bucket with cool water. Use enough water so that your lacrosse pocket is completely submerged in the water.
-
2
Add table salt to the water and stir until dissolved. Use about 1 cup salt or until the salt doesn't dissolve anymore.
-
3
Place your lacrosse stick in the bucket with the pocket end submerged in the salt water.
-
4
Leave the stick in the salt water for about an hour but stir the water every few minutes to ensure the salt doesn't fall to the bottom of the bucket.
-
5
Remove the stick from the bucket and allow it to dry for about 10 minutes.
-
6
Spray paint the mesh any color you wish.
