How to Adjust Marker 1200 Bindings

Marker USA produces alpine ski gear that includes boots, skis and bindings. Marker 1200 bindings use a DIN adjustment dial to adjust the skis to the skier's desired setting. To get an accurate and safe DIN setting on the 1200s you need to know your weight with your ski gear on and honestly assess your skiing ability.

Instructions

    • 1

Put all your ski gear and clothing on and step on an accurate scale. Write down the weight as a reference.

    • 2

Place the skis with the Marker 1200s on a cleared workbench. Consult the Marker DIN chart (see Resources) to get the Marker recommended setting for your weight and ski ability.

    • 3

Turn the DIN screw--found at the back of the binding where the heel snaps into position--to adjust the DIN setting. Make a quarter turn to the left to lower the setting or quarter turn to the right to raise it. Use quarter-turn increments until your recommended DIN is reached.

Push the ski boots into the bindings to test the lock and release with the new settings. Take a run on a mellow or bunny hill to test the settings prior to heading into more advanced terrain.
