1
Locate the hole. If the boot is just soaking through and there is no apparent hole, you may just be able to use a re-waterproofing treatment like Nikwax to revitalize the waterproofing.
-
2
Clean the area around the hole. Use a wet paper towel to wipe the sole over and around the hole clean. If the boots are particularly muddy, use a boot cleaning brush or old toothbrush to clean them more thoroughly. If the dirt is caked on, soak them for an hour or two in a shallow pan or bucket of water, then clean them.
-
3
Dry the boots. Wipe the boots dry with a rag, allow to dry in the sun.
-
4
Use a fine sandpaper to rough up the area around the hole. Some shoe repair adhesives come with their own file or abrasive for this purpose.
-
5
Squeeze a small amount of shoe repair adhesive onto the hole. Use a Popsicle stick or included applicator to rub it smooth so that it fully covers the hole.
-
6
Allow the boot to dry for two days. Do not snowboard on it until it is dry or you risk undoing the repair.
