How Can I Perform the Figure Four Leg Lock?

The Figure Four Leg Lock is a professional wrestling submission maneuver. The move, made most famous by "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, applies pressure to various points on an opponent's legs, ideally causing enough pain to force the opponent to tap out, thus losing the match. The maneuver can be performed in a few relatively easy steps.

Instructions

    • 1

Position yourself at your opponent's feet, while he is lying on his back. Stand and grab his left leg. Step over the opponent's left leg with your left leg, and spin away from him until you have your back turned to him.

    • 2

Grab your opponent's right foot. Position your opponent's left foot over his right knee. Your opponent's legs should now be in the shape of a "4" and you should be facing the opponent.

    • 3

Fall to your back, and place the back of your knee over the intersection of your opponent's left ankle and right knee.

    • 4

Position yourself on your hands to apply more pressure and gain more leverage.
