How to Shoot a Bow Accurately

When shooting a bow, there are a few crucial steps that you will need to follow in order to have an accurate shot. Position your body so it is in a nice, strong stance. Your feet should be shoulder-width apart and your body should face 15 degrees to the right of your target.

    • 2

Raise the bow. Your bow arm should be at a 90 degree angle to your upper body.

    • 3

Pull the string back using the arrow so that it rests just below your right ear. Use your upper back muscles to pull and hold the string in place. The arrow should rest between your index and middle fingers.

Aim carefully while still maintaining your stance. When you are ready to shoot, release your grip on the arrow. Keep your stance strong even after you have released the arrow.
