How to Perform WWE Superstar Shawn Michael's Sweet Chin Music

One of the longest-standing members of the WWE roster has been Shawn Michaels. From his days on the Rockers to DX and now as a living legend, Shawn Michaels has done it all in the WWE. He has excellent ring skills and many times he has defeated opponents with his patented “Sweet Chin Music." This move has been delivered to a countless number of opponents and you could actually do it yourself.

Instructions

    • 1

Start with your opponent on the mat. You can do a variety of moves to complete this task, but Shawn Michaels usually does something big like an elbow drop or a huge suplex.

    • 2

Head to the corner farthest from them.

    • 3

Stomp your foot slowly on the wrestling mat as your opponent begins to rise to their feet. This will signal to the fans that you are about to perform the move.

    • 4

Increase your stomps faster and faster as your opponent is almost standing.

    • 5

Charge at your opponent before he even realizes where you are.

    • 6

Lift your leg up as high into the air as possible and kick them straight into the jaw as hard as you can. Your opponent should go flying to the mat, where you can then pin them or deliver more damage.

    • 7

Use the Sweet Chin Music as a surprise attack for your opponent as another option. When their back is turned, prepare to deliver the blow right when they turn around. Fans like the surprise tactics more as well, and the unsuspecting victim will most likely lose the match. Shawn Michaels has also performed other variations on the finisher. You have to have great speed and agility to perform this move in an instant.

Perform this move with an opponent mid-air as another option. As the opponent jumps down at you, time it right, and deliver “Sweet Chin Music” right underneath their jaw. This will make the move more impactful, but you have to make sure that your timing is right because they could easily capitalize on your position and take control of the match.
