How to Do a Disc Golf Anhyzer Throw
Instructions

1
Get comfortable throwing the disc flat and level before attempting to throw an angled shot like the anhyzer. Once you've mastered the basic throw, you can move on to more advanced throws like the hyzer and anhyzer.
-
2
Grip the disc as you would a Frisbee, with your fingers beneath the disc and your thumb on top of the disc. Angle the outer edge of the disc up away from the ground (angling the outer edge down toward the ground is a hyzer).
-
3
Draw your arm back across your body and level with your opposite shoulder. Move only your arm, do not twist your upper body. Use a backhand throw. Extend your arm quickly and release the disc when your arm is fully extended.
-
4
Curl your wrist a little rather than leaving it straight when throwing an anhyzer. This will help to prevent it from angling off in the opposite direction toward the end of the disc's trajectory. This can take some time to master.
-
5
Use the anhyzer when you want the disc to travel in the same direction as your throwing arm. For instance, a right-handed thrower will use an anhyzer when he wants the disc to angle from left to right.
