How to Putt in Disc Golf

1
Estimate the distance to the hole. Knowing the distance helps you aim accurately.
-
2
Put your right foot forward. The forward foot should bear all of the weight. The foot that is forward should be the same foot as the hand that's throwing--right for right-handed players and left for left-handed players.
-
3
Use the opposite foot to balance. Some players choose to stay completely grounded, not shifting weight on the bottom half of the body. Other players choose to shift the weight from the back foot to the front. This is a personal choice.
-
4
Use a putter. This is a special disc made for putt shots. It is a specific shape and goes more straight than a driver. It is usually heavier also.
-
5
Do a back-hand throw. This is one way to make a putt. It is done the same way that drives are, from rotating the arm in front of the body from one shoulder to the other.
-
6
Do a flip-shot. This is another technique for making putts. This is a simple toss of the disc. The disc rotates top over bottom instead of spinning like a regular Frisbee or a drive.
