Dynastar Ski Information

The Dynastar Ski Company specializes in the production of snow skis and is based in Sallanches, France. With lines of different types of skis, it comes up with new designs for its skis each year, which range from different logo designs to different color schemes. Furthermore, it has a history of sponsoring some of the world's best skiers, and each year its team members win medals at various Olympics and other ski competitions.
  1. Men's Skis

    • Dynastar's collection of men's skis is by far the largest collection of skis it offers. With more than 20 different type of men's skis, it offers different types of models including Race, Piste Performance, Recreational, All Mountain Freeride and Freestyle.

The Race model is for speed skiing and features the longest skis with an hourglass shape. The Piste Performance model is for more toboggan skiing and features shorter skis, which are wider toward the nose of the skis. The Recreational model is used for trick maneuvers, such as jumping, and feature a slight hourglass shape. The All Mountain Freeride model is meant for true performance skiing and features a wide, long rectangle shape. The Freestyle skis are for the true experts who want to charge double-black-diamond runs, and are the longest and widest skis of the Dynastar line.

    Women's Skis

    • Dynastar's women's skis are less about the speed and hot-shot maneuvers and more about performance. It offers three types of brands for women's skis, including Exclusive Piste Performance, Exclusive Recreational and Exclusive All Mountain. The Exclusive Piste Performance model is more about toboggan skiing, and features longer skis with a slight hourglass shape. The Exclusive Recreational model is catered more for women skiers who want to ski just for the fun of it, and feature shorter skis with shorter in width. The Exclusive All Mountain model features more rectangular shaped skis that are meant to handle any section of the mountain.

    Junior Skis

    • The Junior ski collection is for those younger riders who have not fully grown up yet and come in two brands: Race and Recreational. The Race model is for those young skiers who feel comfortable skiing at high speeds and are much longer than the Recreational skis. The Recreational skis, on the other hand, are for those younger skiers who have just learned to ski.

    Team Rider Success

    • Throughout the course of its history, Dynastar has sponsored many of the world's best skiers, and every year its team members bring home medals from various skiing events. Probably the most significant victory was when one of Dynastar's team members, Tommy Moe, won the gold medal for the men's downhill at the 1994 Winter Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway. Furthermore, pro skier Julien Lizeroux of France won two World Cup slalom events on Dynastar skis in 2009. In 2010, Dynastar team members took home 15 medals at the ISMF Ski Mountaineering World Championships.
