How to Do a Sit-Out Crucifix Power Bomb

In wrestling terms, a power bomb is a type of throw in which a combatant is lifted high into the air and then slammed down onto the neck and shoulders. The sit-out crucifix power bomb, more commonly known in professional wrestling as the Splash Mountain, is a variant of the throw in which the wrestler lifts his opponent all the way over his head and suspends him above and behind his shoulders with his arms, then throws him back over his head and slams him down into a seated pinning position.

Instructions

    • 1

Place the head of a standing opponent down and in between your thighs.

    • 2

Lock your arms around your opponent's waist from above.

    • 3

Lift your opponent up above your head by the waist, bracing him against your body and rotating him so that he is facing upright and opposite you with his body and legs suspended over the back of your shoulders.

    • 4

Adjust your grip from the waist to the underside of your opponent's arms and triceps, suspending him aloft so that his body and arms form the shape of a cross.

    • 5

Throw your opponent upward and forward over the top of your head, leaping into the air and raising your own legs so that you will land on the mat in a seated position. Grab the sides of your opponent's waist and pull him down with you as you fall, driving the upper part of his back and shoulders down into the mat as you both land.
