1
Place your Marker skis on a flat table or work bench. Lay the skis so the top side is facing upward.
-
2
Inspect the skis closely. Locate the mid-sole, or center line, near the halfway point of the skis. Identify the mid-sole as a line that runs from the left side of the ski to the right.
-
3
Measure the size of your binding mounting screws. Drill anchor holes at the center of the mid-soles using a power drill. Make the hole just long enough to fit the length of the mounting screws. Drill the remaining pilot holes. Look for guide dots, which should run perpendicular to the center line.
-
4
Align the center of the left foot binding plate with the pilot holes of the left ski. Mount the binding plate to the ski using a screwdriver and mounting screws. Tighten the screws until they are even with the binding.
-
5
Align the center of the right foot binding plate with the pilot holes of the right ski. Mount the binding plate to the ski using a screwdriver and mounting screws. Tighten the screws until they are even with the binding.
-
6
Inspect the area where the bindings connect to the skis. The bindings should be parallel with the edges of the skis. Apply pressure to the bindings to see if they shift. Retighten if you notice any movement when applying pressure to the bindings.
-
7
Slide the ski boots into the bindings toe first. Once the toe is placed, allow the heel to slide into the binding as well. The binding should snap over the boot. Pull on the boot to check that it is locked into place.
