      Direct your upper body and head forward, with just your hips facing the side.

      Turn both feet 45 degrees to the right to gain stability.

      Step back with your right foot a pace or two.

    • 4

      Keep your feet shoulder-width apart with your weight equally distributed.

    • 5

      Stand slightly sideways to your opponent to make less of your body a target.

      Hold your chin down and your elbows close to your body with your fists up.
