How to Customize a Stomp Pad for a Snowboard

The stomp pad is an accessory that is placed between the bindings on a snowboard. The pad helps the rider maneuver his board when only one foot is strapped down. For example, riders use one foot to push themselves into position for the chair lift or around the mountain. Riders can have their stomp pad customized to fit the designs on their snowboard.

Instructions

    • 1

Purchase a clear stomp pad from a sporting goods store that provides snowboarding accessories. Stores, such as The Sports Authority, offer a number of snowboarding products, including stomp pads, that you can purchase for your project.

    • 2

Use the markers and paint to design the stomp pad. You can work to match the designs that are on your snowboard or you can create a stomp pad that is a completely different color scheme. If you use the paint to design the stomp pad allow for one to two hours for the pad to dry.

Attach the new stomp pad to the snowboard according to your preference. Peal the back of the stomp pad away and place it on the board. Use the blow dryer to heat the stomp pad which will cause it to stick to the board.

Test out the new stomp pad on your snowboard. Make sure it does not slip when using it on the snow. If so, you will have to reattach it to the board using the blow dryer once again.
