1
Outline the front and back of a track uniform (both top and bottom). The jersey should be sleeveless, and the shorts, very short.
-
2
Make several copies of your templates. Take a look at previous team jerseys. What are the team's colors and logo? What fonts are used? Stay true to the school's style.
-
3
Experiment with basic designs. Most track jerseys are simple, with a solid base color. A second color usually appears in lines and shapes on the jersey. Use markers to color the design on your template.
-
4
Try various secondary color designs. Experiment with lines running up the sides of the jersey, or around the arms and shoulders. Include the school insignia, logo or name on the front of the jersey at the chest line.
-
5
Draw your final design on a plain white jersey in pencil. Color the design with fabric markers. Consider having a custom jersey company produce your design (see Resources).
