Long Island Hockey Camps

There are various ice hockey arenas on Long Island that offer hockey camps to players of all ages. These camps provide players with individual instruction and offer an opportunity for them to develop their skills on the ice. While camps may be open to players of all skill level, they do need to have the necessary hockey equipment to participate in drills and games.
  1. Pro Ambitions

    • The Pro Ambitions camp at the Superior Ice Rink is for players of all skill levels and teaches them about stick handling, puck control, performance skating and shooting. The camp is for players ages seven to 15 and is operated by Jeff Serowik, who had a 10-year career in the NHL. Instructors break down a player's game to ensure that they are using proper technique in their body alignment, stopping skills, balance, power and agility. The camp is in its 20th year and is held in Long Island at the end of June of each year.

Goalies spend specialized training on the ice for four hours each day and face-off against hockey shooters and a Boni puck shooting machine. The four-day camp is offered in both early July and mid-August each year.
