How to Do a 360 on the RipStik

Unlike the wide, urethane wheels of the skateboard, the RipStik features slender wheels similar to those found on inline skates. The RipStik is a hybrid board that blends the design of the four-wheeled skateboard and the two-wheeled caster board. Similar to the skateboard, the RipStik features a concave tail for aerial tricks and maneuvers. Performing the 360 on flat ground requires advanced board control. Practice the 360 on a small inclined ramp to become comfortable with the necessary movements.

Instructions

  1. Performing the trick

    • 1

Lower the RipStik onto the ground about 30 feet in front of the ramp. Place your lead foot onto the flat platform at the front of the RipStik. Thrust the board forward by pushing off the ground with your opposing foot.

    • 2

Align your pushing foot on the concave platform at the rear of the board. Rotate your hips from left to right in a rhythmic motion. Repeat the process to increase your momentum.

    • 3

Lean on the heel or toes of your lead foot to steer the RipStik toward the inclined ramp. Bend your knees as the front wheel makes contact with the ramp face. Apply downward pressure to the concave platform as you reach the apex of the ramp.

    • 4

Spin your shoulders swiftly while jumping vertically. Lift your knees to keep the RipStik parallel to the ground. Look down to spot your landing as you complete the rotation.

    • 5

Absorb the impact of the landing by bending your knees. Practice the maneuver until you can land it.
